Altun Yaruk Bağlamında Eski Uygurcada Fiil Birleşmeleri

Abstract

Compound Verbs is a subject that has recently become important in Turcology studies. There is not even a detailed study on Compound Verbs in Old Uyghur Turkish yet. In this study, Compound Verbs which is a new topic in Linguistics is discussed through Altun Yaruk which is an expansive work of Old Uyghur Turkish, and a comprehensive work in terms of Compound Verbs.In this study, while Compound Verbs in Altun Yaruk is discussed, it is also deliberated on Actionality, Aspect, Modality, and Modal Verbs, and the categorization of Compound Verbs is carried out via these terms. In this study, Auxiliary verbs is examined one by one, and semantic fields of these forms are clarified in a detailed way. In addition, it is given examples from Altun Yaruk relevant to these forms as mentioned.
