Şizofreni Hastalarına Bakım Verenlerin Aktivite, Aktivite Performansı ve Sağlıkla İlgili Yaşam Kalitelerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract
This study was planned to collect data on caregivers of patients with schizophrenia in our country and analysis of their activity, activity performance and health-related quality of life. 66 patients with schizophrenia caregivers (study group) and 66 patients with schizophrenia who do not, or any chronic patient care (control group) were included in the study. Personal factors about caregiving were evaluated with Sociodemographic Characteristics Information Form. Assessment of activity performance and satisfaction with Canadian Occupational Performance Measure, assessment of health-related quality of life with Quality of Life Scale-Short Form (Short Form SF-36), assessment of depression with the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), assessment of anxiety states Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) were used. According to our studies results, the performance of activities of the working group and the control group was not statistically significant difference (p> 0.05), activity satisfaction between the two groups was statistically significant difference (p<0,05). From the SF-36 the mean subscales between the groups in physical function, physical role limitations, and pain were not statistically significant difference (p> 0,05). General health, vitality, social function, role emotional and mental health between two groups statistically significant difference was found (p <0,05). According to the BDI and BAI, there was statistically significant difference between the two groups (p <0,05). Furthermore, we examined the relationship between activity performance and satisfaction, quality of life, depression and anxiety. As a result, it can be seen, increased levels of depression and anxiety, decreased levels of quality of life and activity satisfaction in caregivers of patients with schizophrenia. They may affect each other. To define in detail activity performance areas are affected by the caregivers and to shed light on in the field of rehabilitation interventions studies which are needed
