The aim of this research is cryptology using to teach concept of the functions and investigating this theme in term of providing supports to students who have difficulty in transferring into daily life.Study group of the research consists 50 teacher candidates who has been studying Elementary Mathematics Education at first grade at a state university in Ankara. The figure of research is weak experimental design which is the one-group pretest-protest design since the effect of research has been investigated on a single group. Research is analyzed into collecting qualitative data since it brings up advantages and disadvantages of using cryptology to teach function concept of foundation.Data collection device is an achievement test consisting of 10 questions prepared by researcher, thesis advisor and a measurement and evaluation expert. This achievement test is used as pretest and protest.
