This research is aimed to determine how cognitive apprenticeship framework could be utilized in designing and realizing of an ontology based cognitive support system (OBCSS). It is also aimed to evaluate the use of OBCSS in educational settings in order to determine how much mental effort is needed for students to use it and to determine whether use of OBCSS decreases disorientation and supports navigation as stated in literature.As a result, it can be solid that OBCSS can offer a personalized learning experience according to the needs of the learners and provide a personalized learning environment. So regardless of expertise in computer and internet use and participants gender, every learner can build their own learning path and use this learning environment without disorienting or require too much mental effort by using OBCSS.
