Abstract
In the context of this study, whether the items of TEOG Common Exam include Differential Item Functioning (DIF) or not in terms of booklet types were investigated. DIF analyses were carried out by using Mantel-Haenszel (MH), Logistic Regression (LR) and SIBTEST methods. Besides, comparison of methods were made by investigating results obtained from those methods. The research group of this study consisted of 12.000 students who were chosen randomly among 2014-2015 fall semester TEOG Common Exam examinees. While making DIF analyses regarding booklet types, booklets were compared pairwisely. Results obtained from DIF analyses indicated that the number of items indicating DIF were more in Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge, Revolution History and Kemalism and English subtests. That number decreased in Turkish and Science and Technology subtests. There were no items indicating DIF regarding booklet type in Mathematics subtest.
