Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyse the goals of a distance education center in detail. With this research, it aims at establishing a conceptual framework, scalable and applicable standards so as to set, determine, renew, organizational goals for distance education organizations. The conceptual framework is established from the concepts of explanations, classification approaches, dimensions and features, the importance and effectiveness of organizational goal and management by objectives from the literature review. These concepts are synthesized in detailed and holistic ways, from different angles. A case study is the design of the study. The organization researched is a distance education application and research center of a public university. Maximum variation sampling is used. The data source of document analyzes is an official document. The data is examined by using descriptive and content analysis methods.
