The overall aim of this study was to investigate the effects of using GraphicNovels in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. The study was conductedwith 56 10th grade IB (International Baccaloriate) students at TED AnkaraCollege Foundation Private High School in the 2010-2013 academic year in a 5-week period.The study was done during the first semester of the 2012-2013 academic year.The participants of the study were IB grade 10 students and had been studyingEnglish for nearly 10 years. The data collection instrument used in this studywas a questionnaire about student familiarity towards Graphic Novels, aninterview about the Graphic Novel experience and the scores of the post-test.
