In this study, mesenchymal stem cells application healing on carotid artery aneurysm is investigated in rat model. Aneurysm model was formed in rat carotid artery and adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells was applied zone with absorable matrix. The results were evaluated as macroscopic and microscopic.Aneurysm is pathologic dilatation on artery and is characterized with thinness of tunica media where elastic fibers are. Therefore, elastase enyzme which can lyse elastic fibers was used for aneurysm model. Elastase was applied between bifurcation and proximal carotid artery with our own method which is improved in the light of literature. Rats which are formed aneurysm was waited for five days after the operation. In the end of this time, the application of mesenchymal stems cells were done.
