Abstract

Under the scope of this thesis, physical, chemical (dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH,electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, salinity ,Na, K, Mg, Br, F, Cl, Li, SO4, HCO3,CO3, NH4, NO3, NO2), population characteristics, cyst and larva morphometery, rate of ploidsand number of chromosomes in the populations and through the molecular analysisdifferences among population of Artemia in its natural habitats in Turkey such as Tuz Lake,Bolluk Lake, Tersakan Lake, Acıgöl, Çamaltı and Ayvalık Saltern, Gökçeada Tuz Lake havebeen investigated.During the November 2009 to September 2010 time period in Artemia habitats in Turkey, 11monthly field studies have been made. Samples was collected from the fields for the purposeof population analysis, carefully investigated by means of a Leica Microscope and numericalvalues of cysts, nauplius, metanauplius, young and adults were recorded.
