Abstract
ABSTRACT BARAN, Erdal. Sources of Turkism That Nourished National Literature, doctoral thesis, Ankara, 2019. In this thesis titled “Resources of Turkism that nourished the National Literature Period” it has tried to put forward the content of planning, scientific and social structures of the preparers of the National Literature period. It was seen that there are many factors that prepare the period of National Literature in the period that corresponds to the last period of the Ottoman Empire. As a result of social change / transformation, the social crisis and the political developments that society has tried to express, in particular the language, were experienced in the light of the sources. The claims of some of the resources recently published are behind the reason that led us to such a study. In the direction of the claims of some works, Turkism was transformed into a political propaganda by the Jews, or how the Ottoman Turkish language was transformed into a process of simplification in the stage of putting forth the literary and literary products of the Turkic nation that survived from the French Revolution until the beginning of the 20th century and how it was prepared with the partial dimension of the period known as the National Literature Period. It has been attempted to express the process that reminded the Turks in the Ottoman geography about their national identities and made them realize that they were the main elements of Turkism with its historical, social, scientific and literary dimensions by examining the scientific sources revealed by Western scientists at the beginning of the road. In this thesis, the elements that constitute the literary footstep of Turkism, which is shaped by the New Ottomans, Jeune Turcs and Union and Progress, who had problems about the regime, have been put forward. The sources of National Literature have been presented in a scientific, political, social and literary dimension by putting the elements in question in a chain in the light of political and social events and by examining Turkism as the preparer and nurturer of National Literature, from the core to the surface of the stage. Of course, while revealing them the works of Ziya Gökalp, also known as the father of the system of Turkism were reviewed.
