Anne-Babalık Amaçları ile Çocuğun Mizacı, Psikososyal Davranışları, Duygu Düzenleme Becerileri Arasındaki İlişki

The aim of research is to examine relationship between parenting goals and child's temperament, psychosocial behaviors, emotion regulation skills. Parents of 48-78 month old children attending pre-school education institutions located in central districts of İzmir, selected through criterion sampling method, which is purposeful sampling method, participated in study. The relational scannig model, one of quantitative research methods, was used in study. Data were collected using Personal Information Form, Rank Order of Parental Values Scale, Short Temperament Scale, Emotion Regulation Checklist, Psychosocial Behavior Scale. It was analyzed with SPSS package program. Descriptive statistics methods, Pearson Correlation coefficient analysis, t, Kruskal Wallis, ANOVA tests were used. There isn’t meaningful difference in terms of parenting goals according to educational level of parents, being parent, gender of child. While self-directed goals don’t change according to socioeconomic level; social skill and compliance goals do. While there isn’t significant difference between mothers’ family structure and parenting goals; there is a significant difference between fathers’ family structure and their goals of compliance. While there is significant difference in social skill goals of parents of 48-60/61-78 months old children, isn’t significant difference between sub-dimensions of other parenting goals and ages of children. While there is positive meaningful relationship between parenting goals and child's persistence temperament; isn’t meaningful relationship with reactivity and warm-blooded temperament. While there is significant relationship between parenting goals and child's psychosocial behavior; isn’t significant relationship between fathers' social skill goals and child's psychosocial behavior. There isn’t significant relationship between parenting goals and emotion regulation skills.
