The use of digital technologies in art contributes to the development of new forms of art and to present artistic thoughts and actions in different ways. These contributions manifest themselves with alternative approaches in exhibition methods, in-museum information graphics and museum promotional items. Museums use Augmented Reality as an effective way to engage visitors. Proficiency in Art thesis; It aims to reveal how a more innovative and effective exhibition environment should be created by presenting interactive experiences in artworks together with the graphic design elements of Augmented Reality. And also examining the use of Augmented Reality in Turkey and other art museums in the world, it is discussed from different angles. In the first part of the thesis, the definition, importance, history, usage areas and features of Augmented Reality technology are mentioned and this technology is explained. In the second part, detailed information about their importance and history is given with an emphasis on art museums. Explanations have been made about the goals and purposes of art museums within universities, and the exhibition methods of art museums and the new trends used in exhibition methods. In the third part, Turkey and through examples of art museums in the world using Augmented Reality technology was examined. How the examined art museums use Augmented Reality within their own art discipline and their features that differ from other museum uses are stated. In the fourth and last part, AR applications are designed for selected works in line with the specified criteria in the H.Ü. Art Museum. The manifesto, creation and design processes of the application part are explained. It can be said that the arrangement of technological tools together with effective graphic design elements carries an exhibition beyond a visual impression and with Augmented Reality, the exhibited work attracts more attention and becomes more effective.
