Abstract
Irony, an intellectual event rather than an attitude of moral, opens the way of changing and transformation with its mental alertness to reveal the contradictions and inconsistencies in the sensibility. The irony that has existed since ancient times, when combined with the descriptive nature of the story, the ordinary things vary and turn into numerous art works that speak different languages. Since the days that the painting is used as a communication tool, the way that the ironic stories followed finds its current expression tools with the sociological, economic, political, and technological changes in the current era. Irony or narration of irony has become a common language that has been used frequently by most of the artists that make use of the technological and computational opportunities of modern life such as installation, video, painting, or other different media to express their ideas in today's world where a new society description is made. This remarkable common denominator in the works of the artists can be indicated as the reason of ideas that caused the emergence of the thesis. Irony and narrative practices that form the basis of the study is explained with the associated art disciplines such as metaphor, humor, allegory, grotesque, absurd, parody, pastiche, simulation, and simulacra. The roots of irony are based on ancient times and it initially rises to the occasion in verbal arts. By using the methods of jeering, pretending to know, and saying the opposite, irony appears to be an art of words, a literary language, and a philosophical way of thinking that criticizes false, distorted, and absurd events. While Socrates is simulating stupidity to expose the illiteracy of the addressee, and thus defining the irony with his own tactics aimed at convincing her, uses the idea that fronts between the interior and the exterior of a case, a situation, and a thing can be a relationship that creates a contrast. vii In the last Section, the stories of the format and the content of the images within the framework of context are told. The topics of the thesis takes experience to share a picture of the inner track by bringing together opposing naive and epic nature of parodic irony and critical structure. In the studies that are formed with the entropic processes, watched movies, listened music, read books, and works of art in a significant effect, short stories are generated as small visual notes from time to time in search of poetic grotesque nightmares. Paintings done by avoiding to fall into the trap of fossilized pictures are transferred to the surface as visual notes or sketches in daily and ordinary life. Most of the time, in these paintings that are developed with ironic attitude to improvise a sketch or experiment with, impressions, dreams, landscapes, objects, and small stories are visualized with metaphoric materials and comments. The aim of the paintings that are done with collages, strip assemblies, and all kinds of different paint textures and materials is to share the experience of painting and the intensive savor that is felt.
