Abstract
Woman has been the only source of inspiration for artists in terms of the subject, especially in sculpture, photograph, music and painting and all art forms. From the antiquity to present day that can be described as the age of technology and communication, the image of woman has taken part in art canvasses up to the wall of the cave in all the time. The only aesthetic point of view to deal with these works of art which women have taken part sometimes as object sometimes as subject will be a deficiency. At the same time, these works of art gives clues us about the their periods of history, sociology and psychology. When we examined the works of art that in the first age,we notice that women have been taken part together with men in these works of art without any discrimination and empyazing sexuality of women. This situation shows that art works are a mirror which reflects the structure of the sociological community. We face with the structure of society which women's division of labor with men and men was forced to act in solidarity with women in order to survive in antiquity. In addition to this, if we considering that hand labor is based on the labor face, we see feature of women's fertility was emphasised and therefore parts of the breast and abdomen of women were depicted as an exaggerated in the art of works in this period in first age. Nevertheless, a long-term struggle of woman has been started conjunction with the middle ages. The middle ages is a period that women have been seen as sexual object and missing values of women in the community with the structure of the male-dominated society. As Kristin Dopiza (1364-1430) as well as other artists who thought that women should be educated and defended women's right in the international area, despite voices of these artists remained very weak in the middle ages, later on they have planted an idea of struggle which will be carried out in a systematic way. Renaissance brought even the progression about the human rights, women continued to experience their inveteracy problems during this period. v Even at the end of 19. century, women who are closed between the four walls, were giving their works of art in their home but also they were representing their art works at an exhibition with the names of their fathers and brothers. We observe very good that reflections of psychological of point of view to women from the works of Picasso. While Picasso was looking to the women with sensual and sexual perspective then he noticed that woman as a symbol of patient and value in the early years of the journey of his art. In the artwork of Picasso which was women was depicted on the red sofa, when the erotism and the attractiveness of a woman can be seen all her nakedness with colours and symbols, you can see the women as patient and value of image from his art work that is named "The young ladies of Avignon" As Sofonisba Anguissola, Artemisa Gentileschi and Judith Leyster, famous and successful artist demolished the prejudgement that the woman only due to being female can not be great artist. The understanding which defends women can not be a better artist and all famous artists are men base on ignoring female artists in the world. In every society,we can notice that women artists express their own problems with the same language. These artists have reflected their discrimination and suffering of experience to the their artworks. These artists have given artwork in response to they are seen as sexual objects in society as well as work of art.
