For Turkey, the 1980s represent a period of great change. It has undergone deep transformations politically, socio-economically and socio-culturally. One of the most important topics affected by this change is women and their role. In this period of increasing political segregation, there are publications on women or on this subject frequently. Magazines representing rising conservatism, as well as magazines that try to present more colorful portraits by displaying a secular and contemporary appearance, represent an important area in the literature in this sense. In this context, Nokta magazine exhibits a secular appearance and contains political, economic and social news and articles on the agenda, as well as reflecting the image of women of the period. Although the magazine is not a women's magazine, it makes important contributions to women and women's image. He draws the image of women of the period, both in the cover photographs he uses, in the interviews with women he carries out, and with the thoughts he expresses between the lines. Woman and Family magazine, on the other hand, represents the conservative mindset. Based on the Islamic lifestyle, the magazine reflects the conservative woman image by providing rich information about women and the family. In this context, the aim of the study, the research method and the summary of the literature are discussed in the Introduction. In the first chapter, starting from the starting points of the women's movement, the meaning of the concept of feminism was mentioned with different perspectives, after this topic, the historical background of which was given in general, the country limitation was made, and the woman was explained in the pre-Republican period, starting from the Tanzimat period in Turkey, which the study represents, and then the Republican period was started. It has been explained starting from the Republican period until 1985, when the journals began to be discussed. In the last stage of the first part, two themes were brought to the fore and the situation of women in Turkey, their different manifestations in political and cultural life, their effectiveness and their existence or non-existence in many other aspects were discussed by adhering to the historical process. The second part consisted of the main subject of the study, and at this stage, "Woman and Family" and Nokta magazine formed the subject title. While creating the sub-headings of the section, attention was paid to include the subject frequently in both journals. For example, the topic of sexuality was not discussed because it was frequently mentioned in only one of the magazines, but it was taken into account while reflecting the point of view of the mentioned magazine. In the third chapter, the historical background of these differences of opinion is explained, since the two journals included in the study have different views. After this process is given in the first and second sub-headings of this section, a topic specific to Nokta magazine is included in the third sub-title. Since the famous women's interviews are frequently encountered in Nokta magazine, and in order to better reflect the magazine's approach to reflecting the image of women, 90's Turkey is included in this section.
