Angular position measurement feedback is a must for motor control systems. One of the devices that is used for these control systems is resolver. Resolvers are resistant to harsh environmental conditions, have high accuracy and resolution. Therefore they are widely used in military systems.In this study; a new feed forward, FPGA based method for analyzing and interpreting resolver signals to calculate angular position, speed and revolution is proposed. Design is compatible with every resolver type, resistant to noise, can be used for high speed applications and have high accuracy and resolution.
