Abstract
Altough, art historians define what art is through movements, schools and artists, the fact that the history of art is the history of images, is tented to brush off. Whether artistic or not, In the last thirty thousand years (who knows, may be a matter of time before we encounter older findings ) human-created objects imitate nature first, and then change from these imitations to create material evidence of a common consciousness. These images, which are the reflections of the collective imagination of human beings, also a part of the way of communicating and symbolizing the rituals that contain the growing potential of today as an artistic expression in addition to all these functions. One of the methods that the artist refers to in order to realize this potential is to adopt a critical attitude. Collective images, many of which are already a long way to go; the historical and social depth of the meanings agreed upon by them creating a ready ground for use for the artist. In this way, in the contemporary art, at the conceptual level, the artist transformed the image by generalizing into a symbol, and the artist sees that he could speak a common language which transforms his own story into the stories of others. On the one hand, the artist type changes and W.A.S.P. (white-anglo-saxon-protestant) stereotypical identity, as well as the increasing representation of ethnic and cultural diversity, is interesting in that it presents a panorama that shows that art is transformed into the common stake of more people, contrary to the political tendencies that mass cultures have in common with society.
