In the first part of the thesis; the definition of e-book, the distinction between e-book and interactive e-book, the evolution of e-books, the types of e-books and their benefits are mentioned. In addition, the importance of technology in the education of children is also discussed. In the second part; the design elements and principles used in e-books were examined with examples in terms of their effectiveness; the use, importance and effect of movement as an influence element in e-books are analyzed. In addition, multimedia elements and features of interactive e-books are also examined and the importance of these elements is discussed. In the third part; in the context of movement as an element of influence, examples of award-winning interactive e-books are presented, subjects such as which multimedia features are used in e-books in order to influence the target audience, which design principles and elements are preferred were discussed and examples from these subjects are examined in the context of movement as an element of influence. In the fourth chapter; information about the development, physical characteristics, and educational processes of the children with Down Syndrome which is selected as the target group of the proposed implementation are presented. In addition, explanations about the materials used in the education processes of the children in question were discussed, and based on these data, interactive e-book applications for children with Down Syndrome were examined and the use of movement in these applications was examined. In the fifth section; within the content of this thesis, the Turkish language-based, educational interactive e-book named “Mori” developed for children with Down Syndrome has been presented by means of examining all its features and processes for interface designs. In the conclusion part of the thesis, information about the purpose and importance of the study, as well as the methods and techniques used were presented; additionally, “what can be done” in this specific subject was discussed and the problems identified were emphasized and suggestions were made for the solution of these problems.
