Unesco Dünya Mirası Listesi’nde Yer Alan Türkiye’deki Seçilmiş Alanların Tanıtımı İçin İllüstratif Bir Mobil Uygulama Arayüz Tasarımı

Abstract

The World Heritage Committee, established by Unesco, evaluates historical buildings and natural areas and includes some of them in the World Heritage List. This makes World Heritage Sites very important for the promotion and tourism of the country. In the same direction, the promotion of these fields and the acquisition of information by the target audiences about these fields increase the importance. Creating a visual identity which is one of the most effective elements using the technique of graphic design illustration, created with permanent visual identities belonging to the common theme of World Heritage in mind to create, and which have become part of our everyday lives, which is one of the easiest methods to reach the target audience to assemble a mobile application interface is very important in terms of the promotion of these areas. The aim of this study is to introduce the collection of illustrations designed in line with a single theme of World Heritage destinations in Turkey, many of which have different corporate identities and illustration designs, by gathering them under an informative illustrative mobile application designed in the same theme. The master's thesis titled “An Illustrative Mobile Application Interface Design For The Promotion Of Selected Areas In Turkey Included In The Unesco World Heritage List” consists of 4 parts. In the first part of the thesis, the concept of world heritage and its importance are mentioned. In the second part of the thesis, information about UNESCO and the World Heritage Committee was given. Destinations in Turkey on the UNESCO World Heritage List were introduced. In the third part of the thesis, the mobile application is mentioned and in this direction, information and examples about the use of illustration in the mobile application interface are given. In the fourth part of the thesis, the introductory and informative illustrative mobile application interface design named "ROC", which includes the collection of illustrations for some world heritage sites in the UNESCO World Heritage List, was prepared and the theme, target audience, illustrations, parts of the interface, and user flows were explained in detail.
