This thesis -named “The Production Problems of Kinetic Typography and Experimental Studies: Animating Yeşilçam Dialogues on the Basis of Typography”- aims to search for the problems of kinetic typography production, examine development processes and form a resource in the national literature to the researchers and practitioners. Bununla birlikte kinetik tipografi üretim sorunlarının araştırılması ve geliştirme süreçlerinin incelenmesidir. Besides, it is also aimed to animate our cultural works of art through new media tools. In part one, the emergence of the term “kinetic typography” is examined starting from Gutenberg era and it is tried to understand the philosophies such as Futurizm, Constructivism, Dadaism etc. which let typography to be perceived as “kinetic” before it really was. In part two, the definition, development and application fields of kinetic typography have been explained. Following it comes the processes through which a practitioner goes in and possible problems of the production of kynetic typography. Some selected national and international works have been examined under the light of informaton coming from national and international literature. In part three, it is given the production processes of kinetic typography applications that include dialogues from three different Yeşilçam movies.
