This master thesis occupied the representation of the cultural conflicts of the guest workers in Germany. Based on three films the cultural aspects will be analyzed on a film-semiotic perspective. It will be try to represent the culture chock of guest workers and to interpret to culture shock models. In addition, cultural conflicts between two different cultures and between the generations within the same culture will be presented. The cultural symbols and the cultural connotation of the audience will be also considered. The films „Almanya – Willkommen in Deutschland“, „Gurbetçi Şaban“ and „Gegen die Wand“ were chosen deliberately. The first film focuses on the culture shock of the first guest workers and their adaptation in Germany. The second film reflects the culture shock from a funny perspective. The third film deals mainly with interfamily cultural conflict. The fact that films contain many signs and codes it will be tried to work out specific signs, codes and symbols from these films. Therefore, the film analysis carried out from a film-semiotic and from a cultural perspective.
