This study was aimed to determine the effect of solution oriented health locus of control and self-efficacy empowering interviews on adolescents’ health promotion lifestyle behaviours. During research pretest/posttest, semi experimental pattern with control group was applied. The intervention group of the study was consisting of 28 students from 1. school, 30 students from 2. school. As data collection tool personal information form and health promotion behaviour scale were applied. Between the dates of 6th of February – 12th of May, 2017 for 9 weeks, each in every week 9 sessions of interviews with solution oriented approach were conducted. After the interviews scales has been applied to both groups. During the evaluation of data, Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) 22.0 software was used. For definitive statistics average and standart deviation, demographic attributes, pretest posttest and for comparisons Independent Sampling t Test, for two categorical independent variable relationships Chi-Square and ANCOVA analysis were applied. In the study after the solution oriented health control focus and self efficacy empowering interviews, it was determined that according to the general grades that obtained from health promotion behaviour scale and average pretest grades obtained from whole lower group scales; they are increasing with statistically meaninful pattern. At the end of the study, it is recommended that the use of solution-oriented approach by nurses in the practices to be planned within the scope of health promotion in schools; to conduct randomized control group research for different sample groups and different subjects..
