Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the sociological base proof tools which can constitute a control feature in the field of Forensic Sociology by producting findings through sociological variables of the place where the crime of damaging the property is located amog the crimes committed against property. The main theme in the interviews with the victim was considered by identifying the opportunities that the victims offer to the suspects and the aim of predicting the sociological based behavioral patterns of suspect with findings obtained. In the categorization of the place- specific measures and social variable patterns, the classification of four places was carried out by the phenomenological research method, which was sheltered, fixed, accessible and mobile. In the interviews with the victims, it was understood through the perceptible examples that the suspects have gone to evaluate the gaps that they saw in the social life, and that they act in the same direction as those mentioned in the Routine Activities Theory. The interpretation of the general approach of the theory is that it coincides with the deliberate acts rather than satisfying all the consequences of the crime. According to the results of the logistic regression analysis, it was obtained 72.9% correct classification based on the answers taken by the prisoners or detainees who committed the crime of damaging the property, If there are people in the crime scene, the risk of the crime is reduced by 2.89 times. On the other hand, in case the target is considered as suitable and accessible by the prisoner and detainees, the risk of commit a crime increased by 3.12 times. The human factor in the scene enables both blocking of the crime and in the event of occurrence of the crime. It is important to clarify the event through the evidence of eyewitnesses. This study that was the first one, can be predicted in terms of the social profiling of the crime of property damage by producing the results of the decision tree model in addition to collecting information by the law enforcement units. This study contributed to the understanding of the place of crime in the light of the fact that crime can be solved by suspicion and evidence.
