Yüksek pH Değerlerinde Çalışan BODIPY Tabanlı Floresan pH Sensörlerinin Tasarımı ve Sentezi
Measurement of pH is very important in various areas such as chemical and biological processes, agriculture and pharmaceutical industry. In general, classical pH meters are used for pH measurements.However, it is known that classical pH meters gives lower pH values then expected due to alkaline error at high pH values. pH measurement with fluorescence-based tecniques have more advantages than classical pH meters owing to their high sensitivity and selectivity for both imaging and sensing applications. BODIPY compounds are preferred as fluorophores in fluorescent pH sensors due to their favorable photophysical properties. In this thesis, BODIPY compounds bearing phenolic group at the meso position and capable of measuring at high pH values have been designed and synthesized.The BODIPY compounds were synthesized by acid-catalyzed condensation reaction of different aldehydes and pyrroles. All synthesized compounds were characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 19F NMR, FTIR and HR-MS analysis and their photophysical proper ties were invesigated. The effects of BODIPY substituents on pH were investigated and fluorescent pH sensors measuring at high pH values were developed.
