Permanent observations were conducted in the classrooms of the teachers who were participants of the study, and then semi-structured interviews were conducted with these teachers. As a result of the research; It was found that Turkish teachers did not make use of writing strategies sufficiently during the pre-, during and after writing stages, it was difficult to implement some writing strategies in the Turkish Lesson Curriculum and teachers' awareness about writing strategies was low. Factors causing this situation are lack of knowledge and practice at the undergraduate level and inadequate in-service training.
