In recent years, many research and development activities are being carried out in the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign language. The researches aim to make contribution by detecting the deficiencies or the dissimilar sides of the field and correcting them. In order to improve the field, many teaching materials used for teaching Turkish as a foreign language are developed and produced. Some of these materials are composed of textbooks prepared to improve reading, listening, speaking and writing skills to use in the courses, while some of these materials are composed of activities intended for one of these skills. In addition to supporting four skills in language teaching, it is necessary to support the grammar that is required to be learned in order to use these skills more effectively and efficiently. Grammar learning is not at the center of language teaching, such as old approaches and methods, with modern approaches and methods. Instead, it is in a position to help providing an effective communication. Because of all of these, the materials prepared as supporting by the other skills. It is observed that language teaching materials prepared in this way are relatively small. It is thought that supporting grammar with reading texts will be a successful step for the learner to see, acquire and develop the grammar rules. Because of this reason, it is thought that it is necessary to develop reading material that supports grammar at A1 level in Turkish teaching as a foreign language.
