This study aims to investigate the opinions, decisions and the suggestions related to the teacher education in National Supreme Education Committee Meetings in a meaningful whole within a historical process. This study was expected to contribute to the studies that aim to increase the professional reputation and status of the teachers, and teacher qualification; to help develop the teacher education processes; to shed light on the points to be considered in the teacher recruitment processes. In this study, fifteen national supreme education committee meetings referring to the teacher training from the first meeting to the 19. meeting was investigated by using document analysis technique which is one of the descriptive survey methods. The data was analyzed with MaxQda 12 Program. Four experts’ opinions were received while naming of the themes, subcategories, codes and subcodes resulting from the analysis and the final themes were determined according to these expert opinions. The main themes were listed as follows: “the Professional Reputation and Status of the Teachers”, “Teacher Qualification”, “Teacher Training Processes”, “Teacher Recruitment Processes”, “the Measures to be Taken Related to Teacher Education”. The coding frequency and percentages of the themes, subcategories, codes and subcodes were tabulated. The findings presented through the tables were interpreted as supported by the related literature and the example speeches from the meetings, the results were reached and the recommendations were developed. As a result, it was observed that the mostly spoken theme was teacher training processes and the least one was teacher qualification in meetings.
