One of the most important factors of strategic planning is the situation analysis through which an institution is guided for evaluating its inner and external environment. In all the ways of situation analyzing, SWOT analysis appears to be one of the most used one because SWOT analysis allows organizations to explore the strengths and weaknesses of their inner environment, and to identify opportunities and threats that are elements of their external environment. In this study, it is aimed to present the current status of overseas schools attached to the Ministry of National Education by SWOT analysis. The research will be carried out in 60 schools operating under the Ministry of National Education. In order to obtain quantitative data, questionnaires prepared by the researcher were administered to 530 students (8.grade and above), 128 teachers and 50 administrators. In order to obtain qualitative data, semi-structured interviews were conducted with five teachers who were previously assigned in MoNE overseas schools. Findings obtained from teachers, students and administrators were analyzed and interpreted separately. In this direction, the opinions of teachers, students and administrators in the overseas schools attached to the Ministry of National Education, strengths, weaknesses and opportunities and threats of these schools were determined. Finally, SWOT Matrix has been formed by crossing the strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats for MoNE overseas schools and giving four different strategy development examples.
