Abstract
Foreign language teaching is not just a teaching and learning process where you learn a new language. It is also a growth and development of oneself accompanied by a new foreign culture. In this sense, it is important to realize a entertaining and dynamic foreign language teaching with examples from daily life. New technological developments have also affected foreign language teaching and made the use of new media inevitable. In this study, the effect of the use of new media on foreign language teaching was examined. The aim of this study is to provide an overview of the use of information technologies within the scope of new teaching methods in foreign language teaching in order to achieve the desired objectives. This study is closely related to how new media can influence foreign language teaching and to what extent the use of information technologies can help foreign language learners in acquiring a new language. In this study, teaching and learning processes implemented in foreign language teaching in schools in Turkey has also been mentioned. This study consists of two parts as theoretical and practical. In this context, firstly theoretical framework is presented. The theoretical framework presented in the first part is consistent with the research method in the application part of the study. The second part of this study reflects the data obtained from interviews with research groups in the application field and the evaluation of the results obtained by analyzing of these data. As a result, the effect of new technological developments on foreign language teaching and the use of new media in foreign language courses were pointed out.
