BULUT, S., Determination of the Validity, Reliability and Responsiveness of the Cognitive Exercise Therapy Approach Assessment Scale in Patients with a Diagnosis of Psoriatic Arthritis.
This study was planned with the aim of examining the validity, reliability and responsiveness of the Cognitive Exercise Therapy Approach in individuals with a diagnosis of Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA). Psoriatic Arthritis Quality of Life Questionnaire (PsAQoL), Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ), Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) and Short Form-36 (SF-36) were used in the validity study of 150 individuals with PsA included in the study. As a result of statistical analysis, the correlation between the scales used and the BETY Scale was found between r = -0.432 and 0.807 (p <0.001). Test-retest method and intraclass coefficient (ICC) were examined for reliability analysis. The correlation (r = 0.844, p <0.001) of the answers given to the BETY Scale by individuals with 30 PsA after one week interval was very high. While the ICC coefficient (0.915, p <0.001) showed excellent reliability, the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient (0.940) was examined for internal consistency and the internal consistency of the scale was also found to be excellent. The same scales were applied again three months later to evaluate the time-dependent changes of the BETY Scale, and when the correlation of the changes was examined, it was found to be highly correlated with the BETY Scale and PsAQoL, which is a specific scale for PsA (r = 0.619, p <0.001). With this study, it was concluded that the BETY Scale is a valid, reliable and responsible assessment tool in individuals diagnosed with PsA, and it is also a scale that can be used to evaluate individuals with PsA.
