Abstract
As in all sectors, healthcare institutions need professional management approaches to adapt to the rapid changes in their environment. To be able to compile and analyze environmental information correctly and to develop correct strategies in this direction; It can be supported by the fact that the organizational intelligence level of the organization is high and the strategic thinking skills of the executives are at a level that will transform the information obtained through organizational intelligence into effective strategies in line with their goals. In this direction, organizational intelligence profile is expected to increase strategic thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to reveal the effects of private hospital executives' perceptions of organizational intelligence profile on strategic thinking skills, as well as individual and organizational characteristics on these variables. In this context, using the questionnaire, the data obtained through electronic mail and face to face interviews. from 312 senior executives of private hospitals in Turkey were evaluated. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the perceptions regarding the organizational intelligence level of their hospitals and strategic thinking skills of the hospital executives participating in the study were at an acceptable level. According to the results of the research, it has been revealed that in general, organizational intelligence is effected by the organizational characteristics of hospitals, and strategic thinking skills are effected by the individual characteristics of the executives. It was determined that the fact that the executives received strategic management training, increased both their organizational intelligence perceptions and strategic thinking skills. However, it has been observed that organizational intelligence is effective in developing strategic thinking skills. In addition to emphasizing the importance of organizational intelligence and strategic thinking skills for private hospital executives, this study also offers suggestions for improvement these concepts.
