Abstract
This study was planned to investigate the occupational profiles and community participation of adult individuals born in the X, Y, Z generations according to the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO). A total of 159 people, 53 from each generation, were included in the study. The participants were subjected to Sociodemographic Information Form, Occupational Profile Template, The Model of Human Occupation Screening Tool (MOHOST) and Occupational Self Assessment (OSA). The data were analyzed and investigated within the framework MOHO an occupational therapy model. It was determined that there was no difference between the MOHOST and sub-parameters scores according to the generations of the participants (p>0.05). Although there was no statistically significant difference between generations in occupational motivation and habit scores, it was concluded that these scores decreased from the X generation to the Z generation. It was determined that there was no difference between the OSA satisfactoriness scores according to the generations of the participants (p>0.05) but there was a significant difference (p<0.05) between the OSA importance scores. Accordingly, it was seen that the OSA importance scores of the participants in the Z generation were higher than the OSA importance scores of the participants in the X and Y generations. It has been determined that the factors that form the occupational profile may be different according to the generations, as well as have similarities. According to results; it has been concluded that the occupational profile and some factors affecting community participation may change according to generations. In the academic studies on the subject, studies should be planned by taking into importance the differences in the occupational profiles and the factors affecting their community participation of the generations.
