The main purpose of the study is to evaluate the effect of school based social skills training program on social skills and status of children with learning disatibilty. The study group of the research consisted of 12 children with learning disabilities who were educated between the 1st and 4th grades. The study was designed in a sequential mixed method design. Then, in order to test the effectiveness of the program, the pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design without a control group, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. Finally, in-depth interviews were conducted again in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the program. Sociometry technique and social skill rating system (SSRS) were used to obtain quantitative data in the research. Content analysis was used in the analysis of qualitative data, and Wilcoxon sign test was used in quantitative data.The level of significance in quantitative data was taken as p<0.05. The developed social skills training program was applied once a week for a total of 10 weeks. According to the results of the research, it was determined that the applied social skills training program had a positive effect on the social skills and positions of children with learning disabilities.
