Social, political, religious and literary changes are inevitable when it comes to migration. With migration, people leave their country and move to another one. Thus, they are confronted with a new culture, a new language and a new way of living. With the coming together of different cultures, it is possible to see the reflections of issues such as identity, culture, homeland, language, foreigner, other and self in literary works. Therefore, this study considers the book written in the prose genre and experimenting with a new genre, which is one of the last works of Zafer Şenocak, a Turkish-German writer of Turkish origin, consisting of 5 essay collections of essays that he considers important, in the light of the concepts mentioned above. In addition, the author was interviewed and asked questions from the literary works analysed in this study. The aim of the study is to shed light on Zafer Şenocak’s works and to reveal the main themes and intercultural aspects in order to position them within Turkish-German literature. For this purpose, interpretation theory and reception theory were used to read the works of Zafer Şenocak, who sees the world as a collection of signs.
