In this study, the historical development of industry is analyzed, and the production process is detailed by providing examples of industrial production materials and molds used in the field of ceramics. The integration of ceramics into industry is examined from historical and technological perspectives; the functions, varieties, and applications of industrial ceramics are explained with supporting examples. Additionally, the concept of art is explored in depth, and the historical evolution of ceramic art, along with its aesthetic and cultural significance, is elucidated. Special emphasis is placed on the relationship between plaster molds used in ceramic production and artistic practices. A single animal figure, hand-formed from grogged clay and completed with glazing, is designed together with a mold-produced cup, and the new artistic expressions arising from this combination are analyzed at the intersection of industry and art, integrating the mold into the artistic process.
In this context, how industrial production materials have become part of the ceramic art process and the transformation this union has created are comprehensively discussed, with an attempt to establish a subjective narrative style.
